USED SOLVENT RECYCLING

Used solvent to be recycledRandt Recycling and Lube-Tech collect solvents from automotive, fleet and industrial facilities. We will collect used solvent from bulk tanks or in drums and transport it to our compliant storage facility in Minnesota. It is then transferred to a facility where, based on type, it is reclaimed or destroyed.

Storing and Shipping

Collect and store different solvents separately. Store used solvent in a manner that will prevent a release to land or water.

  • Keep different types of solvent separate.
  • Store used solvent in a container compatible with the waste, such as a metal or poly drum or tank.
  • Label the container with the words "Solvent for Recycling" (if non-hazardous). Hazardous solvents follow hazardous material labeling requirements, which include a hazardous label with date, generator name, shipper name and license. For up to date requirements, visit MPCA website section on hazardous solvents.
  • Inspect regularly for leaking or inadequate containers.
  • If storing outdoors, use an impermeable surface
secondary containment and protection from weather conditions will help ensure solvent does not accidentally spill.
  • Recycle or ship solvent regularly.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
